National Truck Drivers School is pleased to present Mr. Michael Kinsey for your consideration. Michael graduated from our truck driver-training program back in September of 2000. He recently returned to the Training Grounds with his truck for a get-together and allowed us to snap a photo.

Michael spent time in the Marine Corps primarily responsible for communications. Although he loved the Corps, he needed to give civilian life a try. He found himself earning a paycheck as a Corrections Counselor. This job was challenging and rewarding for Michael, but it depressed him. Michael decided to fulfill a childhood dream and become a “trucker.”

Michael enrolled with National Truck Drivers School for several reasons. He appreciated the no nonsense approach to gaining credit. He also valued our professionalism throughout the enrollment and training process. Finally, he was impressed with our equipment. We don’t expect you to take his word for it, so come on down and see it for yourself.

Like so many of our truck driving students, Michael also found backing up these big rigs to be a test of his training and abilities. He did master this critical skill after guidance and practice. No other elements of the training posed any significant difficulty for our former Marine. He did so well that he had over 10 job offers before graduation.

Michael decided to sign on with Daymark mainly because the offered him the best pay and home time package. Daymark operates a fleet of over-the-road tractors and refrigerated trailers throughout the forty-eight states. The entire fleet is equipped with the Qualcomm System of satellite communication that insures constant communication between driver and dispatch. This type of “real time” communication is crucial to Daymark as they transport a wide range of temperature sensitive. Daymark operates what is referred to as the “Cadillac” of the trucking business; conventional Volvos and Freightliners. For the most part, Daymark’s equipment is leased which provides the company with many advantages such as recycling equipment at a certain point in its operational life as well as providing the drivers with new equipment on a regular basis.

When not on the road Michael enjoys relaxing in front of the TV or at the movies. He also enjoys reading Law books. Michael likes to call Miami Florida home. We are grateful that Michael made the trip up to visit. We are delighted that he is successful and enjoying his trucking career.
