Introducing National Heavy Equipment Operator School’s Graduate of the Month for September 2009

Meet one of America’s finest, U.S. Marine David Andrews.

David is a family man married to his wife Donna for 3 years now and as mentioned is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps where he also ran heavy equipment.

David chose to continue his to work as a heavy equipment operator because he always enjoyed working with the machines and the work you can accomplish with them.  He also chose to enhance his skills by attending our Professional Heavy Equipment Operators program.  He chose National Training because we are accepted by the military and we are a Nationally Accredited school.

During our interview with David he explained that his time while at National was fun and entertaining.  One of the best experiences he’s had in a long time.  He also says the instructors are a great group of guys.

We appreciate the compliments David.  We know our instructors are great group, but it makes us proud when our students tell us.  When we hear this all of us feel like we’ve accomplished our goal.  It makes us feel good to get up and do this every day.

David’s future plans are to finish his military commitment.  However, once a Marine…always a Marine.

Our instructors also thought highly of David.  Read the next paragraph to see what they had to say about him.

“David said part of his job in the Marines was running heavy equipment; operating bull dozers and various other pieces of equipment.  When we saw him get on the machines he proved he had skills and definitely confidence.   We showed him things to enhance his skills further and he always wanted to see anything that would make him a better operator.  Sam Hogg, our lead heavy equipment instructor, said “I liked working with David.  Every new technique I asked him try do he would try it.”  “He just simply wanted to know more and more.”  When David retires from the Marines and starts working in the civilian world he will make a fine operator for anyone.”

We’re sure David will go the distance in this industry if he continues with it.  We see him in upper management and maybe running his own business.

National Training has worked with our military for over 20 years and we are proud to say we support our troops and the sacrifices they make for all of us.  Many military personnel are deployed for months and even years at a time away from home.  The sacrifices they make, sometimes the ultimate sacrifice, is for all of us who enjoy the freedoms we have.  Their families also make the same sacrifices as well.

They do this because they believe in what they are doing and what they do matters.

This is a personal thank you from National Training to David and the rest of our finest out their serving.
