Another Great Winner...
Meet Gary Arms, National Truck Drivers School Graduate of the Month for November 1999. Gary is a native Seminole and hails from the town of Williston. Judging from his shirt, it doesn't appear that he plans on leaving Florida any time soon.
Prior to attending National Truck Drivers School, Gary worked in the Dairy business. When we asked Gary why he chose to change his career, Gary told us he always wanted to be a tractor-trailer driver. Now that Gary is a qualified professional tractor-trailer driver, he can enjoy driving on the open road. Which, Gary tells us, is his favorite part of his job.
During Gary's training with National, he received 8 job offers through the job placement assistance program. After making the hard decision of choosing which job offer to take, Gary finally decided to work for Commercial Carrier Corporation (CCC) out of Auburndale, Florida. Gary chose CCC because he is afforded the opportunity to be home every night with his wife Gwen.
While attending National, Gary told us that the Super 10 training gave him the most trouble. For those of you not familiar with “Super 10” it is a new type of transmission used in tractor-trailers, and learning how to properly shift the gears of the Super 10 can be quite tricky. Again, thanks to National's seasoned instructors, Gary managed to do well enough to complete the Super 10 and be our Graduate of the Month.
During our interview with Gary, he was asked why he chose National Truck Drivers School over all of the other schools. Gary replied by telling us he felt that National was the best truck drivers school to receive his training. Gary also went on to tell us that he would definitely recommend National and the truck driving industry as a career for those who are interested in driving tractor-trailers.
National wishes the best for Gary and his wife Gwen. We would also like to thank him for his kind words and recommending National Truck Drivers School for those wanting to enter the truck driving industry.
