Another Great Winner...
After hearing his brother brag about the good pay and excellent benefits that he was receiving as a truck driver, John Nauta of Live Oak, Florida decided that it was time for a career change for himself. In his lifetime, John has worked as a cook, a naval ammunitions expert and more recently, John had a job burying telephone cable. Now John has the privilege of joining one of the largest fraternities in the American workforce. John is now a professional truck driver.
Many people become truck drivers for many reasons and in John's case, as with many others, one of the reasons was money. When asked what his other reasons were, John said that he liked all of the miles that he travels. After graduating from National Truck Drivers School, John got a job working for Scales Transportation out of Tifton, Georgia. John chose Scales for several reasons, first, John has the opportunity to be home every night, second, Scales offered the excellent pay and benefits that his brother was bragging about, and last, John gets to work with his bragging brother at Scales. Whenever John isn't on the road, he enjoys using his leisure time either sleeping or cleaning his rig.
All of us at National are glad that John achieved everything he set out to do and asked John about his experience with National. First, we asked John what the hardest part of training was for him and he said that the written test gave him the hardest time. Apparently, since John is our Graduate of the Month, he obviously didn't do too badly on the written test. When we asked John why he chose National Truck Drivers School, he replied, “I like the home studies”. Well as we said, we are very happy that John is doing so well and would like to welcome him to the fraternity. We hope your career keeps on moving so smoothly.
