Another Great Winner...
Jacksonville native Leonard W. Adams, more commonly referred to as “Rick”, finally realized his dream of driving Tractor Trailers after graduating from National Truck Drivers School in July 1998. After working for years at various other jobs such as: EMT, Customs Broker, and more recently a straight truck driver for a flooring wholesaler, Rick finally decided enough was enough. After hearing about National Truck Drivers School, Rick decided to enroll in the training program. The only difficult part Rick can recall about his training was committing the Pre-trip inspection sequence to memory.
When asked what prompted him to choose this particular career path, Rick simply said, “It was something I wanted to do for a long time”. Upon graduation, Rick had six offers from various trucking companies before finally deciding on Core Carriers. Core Carriers offered him the three things that were most important to him: best pay, home on the weekends, and reliable equipment. In addition, Rick likes the fact that he is his own boss. Now that he will be home on the weekends, he has plenty of time to enjoy his favorite hobbies like playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle and working in his garden. On behalf of everyone at National Truck Drivers School, we would like to thank Rick for stopping by to let us know how he was doing and for highly recommending National Truck Drivers School and truck driving as a career.
