Featured Graduate for March 1999 |

Another Great Winner...
In between dispatch pickup’s, Robin Germain, a November 1998 graduate had a few hours to kill and decided to stop by his School, National Truck Driver School, for a visit. He was very proud of his new Kenworth T–2000 Condo tractor that he drives for Lester Coggins Trucking in Okahumpka, Florida.
Robin is one of those rare native residents of Florida hailing from Port St. John. He spent over 20 years in the United States Army proudly serving his country. After retirement he began to miss the adventure he found in the military and sought out a career to satisfy his urge to travel and explore. Robin decided to become a Professional Over–the–Road tractor–trailer driver.
The main reason he chose National Truck Driver School was because the school was “VA Approved”. He found that very few Truck Driver Training Schools are “VA Approved”. That was good enough reason for Robin to choose National. He was able to utilize his “GI Bill” educational benefits to help in the financing of his education.
Robin graduated in the top of his class and was offered employment opportunities by five (5) trucking companies. Robin chose Lester Coggins for their reputation and their relative closeness to his home. Robin gets back home every 14 days and after parking his rig, he heads for the nearest fishin’ hole. Robin is an avid Bass fisherman and enjoys the peace and quiet of a lake or pond to relax and refresh himself.
If you have the opportunity to talk with Robin he can tell you about his training experience with National and how you can become a Professional Truck Driver. Robin enjoyed being treated as a student and not a number. You didn’t get lost in the crowd. Thank you National for teaching me the correct and safe way to drive a tractor-trailer.
